Data protection
Privacy policy
This page explains what data is processed when you browse the website, submit an enquiry or order an Optima-Tools licence.
Last updated: 23 September 2026. The website currently uses no advertising cookies or third-party analytics.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Optima-Tools, Switzerland. For data-related questions or requests, contact info@optima-tools.ch. Additional legal contact details appear on order or contractual documents where required.
2. Data and purposes
- Website visit: network address, date, requested page, browser and technical logs needed for hosting security and operation.
- Contact form: name, organisation, email, message and selected plan, so that we can answer your request.
- Order and licence: identity or organisation, email, plan, order references, payment status, installation identifier, licence and delivery history, to fulfil the order and manage access.
- Payment: Stripe processes payment information in its own environment. Optima-Tools receives the confirmation and references needed for follow-up, without receiving full card data.
Processing is used to answer requests, prepare or perform a contract, secure the services, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
3. Recipients and external services
Data is available to authorised Optima-Tools personnel and, depending on the function used, to strictly necessary providers: Hostinger hosting and email, Stripe payments and the licence service infrastructure. A third-party link, including a model download, is governed by that third party when you choose to follow it.
Some providers may process data outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area. Applicable safeguards depend on the provider, country and relevant contract.
4. Retention
- Contact requests: up to 24 months after the last exchange, unless evidence or a legal obligation requires longer.
- Order, licence and accounting records: for the contractual relationship and applicable statutory periods, which may reach ten years for accounting documents.
- Temporary download links: for the period and number of uses stated at delivery; the current flow provides 30 days and 10 downloads.
- Technical logs: for a limited period according to hosting security settings and abuse-detection needs.
5. Cookies, local storage and analytics
The public website currently sets no advertising cookies and includes no third-party analytics. The licence page may temporarily remember the chosen language in browser session storage; this disappears with the session. Since there is no non-essential tracking, no consent banner is displayed. This policy will be updated before any analytics tool or non-essential cookie is enabled.
6. Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your data, and object to processing within the limits provided by law. Contact info@optima-tools.ch. Proof of identity may be requested only where necessary. You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner and, where the GDPR applies, the competent supervisory authority.
7. Security and automated decisions
Reasonable technical and organisational measures protect data, including HTTPS, access control, request limits and protection of configuration secrets. Website browsing is not used for advertising profiles or fully automated decisions producing legal effects.
Ticket support
Support stores a customer ID, order email, ticket subjects, messages and statuses to track requests. Access is verified using a private, single-use link valid for 15 minutes. A secure technical cookie maintains the session for 7 days; it is not used for advertising. Email messages are notifications; replies must be submitted on the website. Do not include passwords, activation codes or sensitive data in tickets.
